Like the original Demon debut, Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 there was a cryptic teaser campaign before the reveal. And from the very beginning, we were everyone is a bit confused about why some nightmarish goblins are right at their center. So we asked Tim Kuniskis, the head avoid, What is the deal. Turns out, they actually had nightmares.
Apparently, at some point in the development and nearing the time to publicize the car, he had a bad dream revolving around goblins. And, well, he went with it. He brought it up and figured out how to connect Demon 170 to the fearsome elves with the help of the group.
The connections really make sense. The car has a kind of evil, mischievous character. It gets wilder with alcohol (see trailer with IV drip). Elves are often associated with alcohol. Elves are also very fast. And with a revelation just around the corner of St. Patrick’s Day, it all makes sense. Strange meaning, but meaningful nonetheless.
Either way, we’re glad 170 is here and we can’t wait to drive one.
