Sunshine Private Hospital in Melbourne’s West has gone live with Telstra Health’s Kyra clinical EMR system and MedicalDirector solutions.
Kyra EMR, which provides real-time access to patient information anytime, anywhere, helps streamline care delivery in the newly opened 75-bed facility. It enables smooth care delivery, electronic referrals, medication administration as well as peer-to-peer communication.
Meanwhile, doctors at Sunshine Private’s consulting room are currently using MedicalDirector Clinical in the form of EHR and MedicalDirector Bluechip to manage their practice.
Western Australian Government announces funding for phase 1 of statewide virtual ED launch
The Western Australian Government has provided funding to support the first phase of implementation of the WA Virtual Emergency Department.
This phase, which will focus on the elderly, will expand the trial of virtual and community-based hospital services for residential aged care.
A AU$3.4 million ($2.2 million) grant will expand the Public Health pilot in a virtual environment while AU$3.9 million ($2.6 million) will expand Elderly Community Access and other services for older adults.
The establishment of the WA Virtual Emergency Room is one of four major reforms the Western Australian government is implementing under its latest funding strategy. The other three reforms include the first phase of the implementation of the State Health Operations Center; refer hospital teams dedicated to addressing unnecessary discharge delays; and reduce the number of patients with long-term hospital stays waiting for elderly care or Support the National Disability Insurance Program.
h-trak system currently in operation at Macquarie University Hospital
Macquarie University Hospital has completed the first phase of the inventory management solution implementation by healthcare IT provider Prospitalia h-trak.
The h-trak system is currently operating in the hospital’s operating rooms. It includes h-trak’s Priority Card management system, which handles end-to-end processes from patient check-in and process setup to supply chain management and replenishment of critical consumables. used in high-cost process settings.
This implementation also includes interfaces for TechOne Enterprise Resource Planning system and TrakCare EMR.
The h-trak system is expected to roll out phase two in other departments, including Angio Suite, Endoscopy, and TOE departments. There will be additional integrations for TrakCare EMR to include implantation upload and for TechOne to receive a Good Receipt Notice.
