Jack Miller: “We’re definitely going to need their support, the more fingers crossed the better. Loads of motos are popping up, it’s amazing to see the amount of support we’re getting here. I’m feeling extra pressure but it’s a good kind of pressure. I love it, it’s great to be a part of this and it feels like this to be back on the island for so many years and to come back with this reception is amazing.”
Q: There’s a lot going on, doesn’t this distract you?
Jack Miller: “Not really, we’re professionals, we know at the end of the day what we have to do, what’s important. So just trying to block out the noise as much as possible, I mean I’m sure it’s busy, but I’ve definitely had busier races. Italy for Ducati is not easy, this is okay. “
Q: There has been some talk about better protection of wildlife which tends to end up near the track here, the circuit could do more to prevent hairy things and furry things from getting close to the road Wanna drive?
Jack Miller: “Sure, don’t get me wrong, it’s dangerous to have kangaroos and whatnot to run around the track when you’re running 350km an hour, but like I said at the safety committee yesterday, I understand There’s not a six meter fence on this whole road. But that kangaroo certainly didn’t just jump in. It got buried somewhere and the noise of these bloody 300hp machines started blaring around – even the Moto3 didn’t wake him up – but the MotoGP bikes certainly did.

It’s more about getting it balanced, yesterday we were really chasing to get the bike more and I think we’ve improved that area, but we might need to put the back side up a bit, because the shaft really helped us.
