Equibase Company has extended the ability to provide free data of tracking leaders on Equibase.com. Originally available only for the two most recent encounters per track, the race-by-race leaderboards are now available for all past encounters from 2000 onwards.
Leader-by-head stats are available for each horse, owner, jockey and trainer that started at the respective meeting. Data can be sorted by column header: number of starts, firsts, seconds, thirds, earnings, win rate and money rate.
“Fans and industry participants alike are interested in seeing how horses and performers in specific races meet, but what matters is what,” said Rhonda Norby, Equibase communications and marketing director. that was limited to having only the last two years of data,” said Rhonda Norby, Equibase’s director of marketing and communications. “For media that are conducting research or who just love to look back, additional 20 years of data would be a welcome addition.”
Users can find a list by each leader in the statistics section of Equibase.com. In addition to the ability to sort by column header, data for each horse, owner, trainer, and runner can be filtered to view statistics by multiple categories, including age, sex, surface race and all race against stake race ; or only the races are classified.
