Dreadshore DLC Coming Tomorrow – PlayStation.Blog

The world of Meet Your Maker is expanding with the arrival of Sector 1: Dreadshore.

We’re heavily gearing up for this release, and since Dreadshore marks our first major content update, we’re celebrating by letting you get the Arsenal Sector 1 Bundle for free to start. from tomorrow until July 10.

With Meet Your Maker up and running, it’s been great to see millions of Outposts springing up around the world, all thanks to our engaged and incredibly creative community. You’ve created some really twisted stuff and we love you for it.

Our job is to continue to drive that creativity, and Sector 1: Dreadshore, with its lore, environments, armory additions, and new cosmetics, is an important step in that direction.

Let’s start with the obvious: What exactly is Area 1: Dreadshore and what does it include?

Ash Pannell, Meet Your Maker Creative Director, explains: “We’re using Sector to deliver major gameplay updates through a story. “Dreadshore is a place in our world and the items you get from that Area are tied to its story. It helps expand your knowledge of Meet Your Maker along with the actual gameplay.”

Welcome to Dreadshore

Each Zone in Meet Your Maker explores a new place on Earth, ravaged in its own way.

Dreadshore, located on the remains of the New England coast, is the location of an abandoned Sanctuary that lies beneath a lighthouse. In this facility, clones are subjected to a series of devastating, disturbing experiments until one escapes, killing the out-of-control Guardian and Chimera on her way out.

Sector 1: Dreadshore will include a new environment and themed Decoration Packs – all free and instantly accessible to all players.

“The Environment and Decor Pack provides tools for builders to create stories from their Outpost,” Ash shared. “Completely different from Red Sands, Dreadshore is just dark, moody and playing with light. Therefore, this is the perfect place to build the dark and terrifying Outposts. Deco Pack’s rusted metal and worn wood blocks allow players to imagine a lot of old buildings and structures.”

New tool of destruction

Undoubtedly, the most interesting Dreadshore additions come in the form of Area 1 Armory Packs.

Four new gameplay elements not only provide new ways for builders to strategize and stage surprise kills, but also give raiders some new tricks of their own to survive.

“As a systematic game, each new item has a big impact on gameplay,” says Ash. “Just playing around with the field is already exciting, and knowing what it will do to change the meta in the game is really exciting – and that’s before players start to embrace it and practice it. showing us how to use these new items.”

New manager: Nautilus

Nautilus represents the sole survivor of the Dreadshore Reserve. This mysterious figure is one of the captive and experimental clones. He has secretly crafted a suit that can boost his defenses and help him escape.

While the other two suits currently available are both geared towards ranged and melee skills, the Nautilus is all about defensive weapon capabilities with all three of its abilities enhancing the effectiveness of Arc Shield. .

New Trap: Sentry Beam

The Sentry Beam was designed by Lighthouse Sanctuary to control its prisoner population. It uses motion tracking to fire a laser beam of super-heated amplified light at raiders that can bounce back multiple times before dissipating, adding an element of chaos to its attack.

“This trap is great. It’s an area denial trap designed to take out unsuspecting players,” explained Ash. “When it bounces off walls, it offers a fun new sense of randomness that helps break up repetitive play patterns.”

New Guardian: Ravager

Ravager was the unintended result of a Dreadshore experiment that went wrong. The Guardian sees multiple targets of which only one and simultaneously fires a beam at each, creating a deadly scattering effect.

Ash points out: “Think of this as another kind of mold-breaker. “Ravager has a horizontal fire field so it is difficult to avoid. Raiding was the way to defeat these enemies in the past, so when combined with other sentries and traps, players will have to re-adjust their playstyle.”

New Weapon: Demolition Cannon

The Demolition Cannon was developed for war, but when global unrest hit, it was used more as a deadly crowd control weapon. Essentially a grenade launcher with recoverable ammo, the Sanctuary lighthouse stocks this weapon as a last resort should the prisoners rebel. Nautilus discovered and used one in his bloody escape.

Don’t forget to visit the PlayStation Store to get the entire Sector 1 Armory Pack for free starting tomorrow, until July 10. We hope you enjoy this new content!
