Next generation belong to Nissan kick has been expected for a long time, especially given the current model that has been around for about six years. Interesting, these spy photos represents the first time we glimpsed by Nissan compact Crossover SUV. It applies styling cues shared across the entire Nissan line-up, as well as seemingly with some extra dimensions.
The front of kick have a fascia similar to that of Ariya tram and opposite. It’s a wide, slanted smile that surrounds the grille and headlights. It helps the front end of the car to be wider, more rounded than the current model.
The curvy look is similar to today’s sturdier and more angular Kicks. It also appears to be a bit more upright towards the rear and generally appears larger than it is now. The prototype also sits on some nifty-looking three-spoke alloy wheels.
At the rear, the rear spoiler looks more prominent and the hatch has a pronounced deck. The taillights blend into this part of the hatch and will likely continue to have a full-width look, but be better integrated than on the current car.
We’ll be pretty curious about the mechanical bits we haven’t been able to see yet. Unlike many others cross, Kicks is currently only available with front-wheel drive, and it looks like adding an all-wheel drive option will be a possibility for the new Kicks. It will be interesting to see if this new model continues with the existing Kicks platform, also used on oppositeor if it switches to something newer, such as the Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform used by the Nissan Note and Juke. That newer platform could open up options for Nissan’s e-Power line mixture powertrain, which could give the Kicks a unique selling point in its segment.
A past report has suggested that we will see new Kicks introduced next year. That seems pretty reasonable considering the distance of this prototype. We also expect a similar price to Kicks’ current price of just over $20,000.
