NASA will cover pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities for the James Webb Space Telescope, the world’s largest and most powerful space science telescope.
Webb’s goal is to launch at 7:20 a.m. EST, Saturday, December 25, on an ESA-powered Ariane 5 rocket from the European Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, on the northeast coast South America.
The live launch in English will begin at 6 a.m. on NASA TV, the NASA app, and the agency website. The public can also watch it live on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, and Daily movement. NASA will also offer a Spanish-language launch broadcast starting at 6:30 a.m. on the agency’s Spanish-language social media accounts and online. NASA will hold a pre-launch press conference at 2 p.m. ET on Tuesday, December 21, and a post-launch press conference approximately 30 minutes after the live launch broadcast ends on Saturday, December 25. The Webb mission, in international cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Canadian Space Agency, will explore every period of the history of the universe – from within the solar system to the most distant galaxies in existence. observable in the early universe, and everything in between. At 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, NASA will host a pre-launch media conference with the following participants:

On Saturday, December 25, about 30 minutes after Webb’s premiere broadcast ends, a joint press conference will take place in Kourou. The press conference will stream on NASA TV, the NASA app and the agency website.

NASA TV launch coverage in English

On launch day, the satellite feed will be available with a “clean feed” of the launch without comment. The uplink will begin at 7 a.m. and continue for an hour after launch. The Clean Feed will also be available on the Washington AVOC.
Audio in the launch range will also be available via this satellite feed, with audio channels for commentary on the launch event in English, French and Spanish, as well as “audio mission” had no comment.

NASA’s Spanish Launch Scope: Desplegando el Universo
