Man of St. Louis charged after beating 15 McDonald’s employees

A 15-year-old McDonald’s employee had to have surgery after a brutal attack at work. St. Police Louis arrested and charged a 25-year-old man Johnny Ricks after he hit Ariyah Lynchskull of on April 7.

Explained: What happened to the teenage McDonald’s employee

According to local outlet First Alert 4, Ariyah and another teenage McDonald’s employee were at work when the incident occurred. The 15-year-old boy told the outlet that a group was being “noisy…obnoxious” during the drive-through. In response, the fast food employee asked the group to step inside to order.

Soon after, Ricks and a group of adults entered McDonald’s at 10 o’clock! According to Ariyah, they began throwing things and spitting at at least four employees. In particular, Ricks is said to have broken an electronic menu board after throwing a food tray at it.

At that point, things escalated and turned inside out as staff tried to get the group out of the facility.

Shocking footage shows a man – later identified as Ricks – dragging Ariyah Lynch before smashing her head into concrete.

“Being stepped on by a grown man? I was not prepared for what was about to happen,” Lynch told First Alert 4 after the incident.

She added that she was trying to “protect” herself. Her stepmother later revealed to KSDK that Ariyah suffered a concussion and a broken nose and needed surgery. The GoFundMe further describes her injuries as “skull fracture and frontal lobe damage.”

What’s next for Johnny Ricks?

Earlier this month, Ariyah told First Alert 4 that she wanted Ricks to go to jail and planned to press charges.

According to PEOPLE, St. Louis arrested John Ricks on April 17 – the same day as Ariyah’s surgery and ultimately charged him with assault and property damage.

He was initially held on a $150,000 cash-only bond. A condition of bond requires him to stay at least 500 feet from any McDonald’s and have no contact with Ariyah.

He made his first court appearance on April 18 and is scheduled for a bail hearing on April 25.
