Luka Dončić, Mavs avoid being swept away with game 4 win over Warriors

Luka Dončić have 30 points and 14 rebounds, and Dallas Mavericks defeat Golden Empire Warriors 119-109 on Tuesday night to avoid getting caught up in the Western Conference finals.

It was his 10th double in 14 games this season for Dončić, who also registered nine assists and received help from the supporting cast to extend this streak. He had 40 points in game 3, when Reggie Bullock shoots 0 for 10 shots with seven misses from a 3-point range.

Dorian Finney-Smith got 23 points and Bullock got 18 on a 6/10 shot – all 3 points. Jalen Brunson has 15 points. The Mav is 20 out of 43 out of 3 pointers.

The loss ended the Warriors’ nine-game winning streak in the Western Conference finals, though they remained firmly in control of the series to return to California for Game 5 on Thursday night.

Stephen the curry got 20 points and returned to the game with 3:22 left – his first appearance in the fourth inning – after the Warriors had reduced their 29-point deficit to 110-102. But they never got any closer even when Curry and the other starters returned to the floor.

Then Dončić drives away for a bit and Bullock makes his 3rd pointer.

No NBA team has yet to come back from winning 3-0 to win a series. Only three of the 146 teams that fell into that pit could even be forced to play the seventh game.

Jonathan Kuminga there are 17 points and Andrew Wiggins 13 points for the Warriors, whose seven players scored double the number.

There was even a 16-minute downpour, when the start of the second half was postponed because rain leaked through the roof at the American Aviation Center. It was raining heavily outside, and there were at least two leaks. One was dropping water near the Golden State bench, and at the other end of the field, the water seemed to be falling on the stands.

A 3-pointer by Dončić takes the Mavs to 81-56 with 6:57 left in the third quarter, their biggest lead to that point.

Draymond Green was fouled in Golden State possession later, and his first free-throw attempt came to a halt on the wide back of the rim. After Dončić and Green stood in the lane laughing together about it, before the last ball was knocked, Green then also missed a second attempt, even though that hit didn’t go over the perimeter and was blocked by Dončić break.

Dallas took the lead with a 25-6 win in the near seven-minute span of the second inning, in which the Warriors missed nine of 10 shots and had two spins.

Golden State rose 31-29 after a jump of Moses Moody, then only one basket is made in the next seven minutes. A pointer 3 by Davis Bertans put the Mavericks ahead.

The Mavericks had 62-47 in the first half after Dončić’s driver made a difficult move, hitting Curry’s basket on the other end.
