The Only Los Angeles Lakers Team Known To Be Looking For The Brooklyn Nets To Protect Kyrie Irving In A Sign And Trade Deal

Irving needs a commercial partner to coordinate the deal on a deal to get a maximum, long-term contract, but only the Lakers are interested in doing signing and trading after the free agency opens. door on Thursday night, sources said.

Irving is very interested in joining the Lakers, sources say, which he could do by turning down the $36.5 million option and signing with Los Angeles for the submitter exception. $6 million in mid-level tax.
