Ukrainian authorities on Tuesday detailed allegations of what they called a “torture chamber” discovered in a village in the Mykolaiv region and the city of Kherson.

The regional prosecutor’s office of Mykolaiv, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and forensic experts from the National Police of Ukraine have located an alleged “torture chamber” in the village of Oleksandrivka, in the region. “The victims were strangled with plastic bags, beaten with heavy objects and tortured with electricity,” the statement added. “During the inspection of the room, law enforcement officers discovered torture devices.”

The SBU said Ukrainian citizens “illegally detained and tortured by the Russians for a month have been found”.

CNN was unable to independently verify the claims of Ukrainian authorities.

Another allegation: On Tuesday, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine also reported that another “torture chamber” had been discovered in the city of Kherson in “one of the police administrative buildings, which the Russians use to ensure operations. action of the occupying criminal authorities”.
