Caleb Plant was still licking his wounds and sulking over his defeat to Canelo Alvarez. The two competed against each other on November 6, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada for every single super-middleweight title on the rope.

Entering their competition, Plant was considered a major underdog. In the eyes of many, the Nashville, Tennessee native is simply in his head. However, from the moment the opening bell rang, Plant earned his respect. The 29-year-old player flashed bright moments. In particular, in the tenth round, Plant combined seven punches, with the last hit recoiling Alvarez’s head.

While Plant ended up battling the pound-for-pound star for most of their competitions, his success abruptly ended in 11th place. Alvarez cornered his man in the ring. last before knocking him down with a cut on the left. Soon after, the Mexican product completed the previously undefeated IBF super-middleweight championship.

Although their competition lasted less than two months, Plant was spotted back in the gym. While he could choose to sit back and enjoy the fruits of his labor, he would rather sharpen his tools as he sifts through possible opponents for his next ring appearance. .

“I don’t want to lose momentum,” Plant said in an interview with FightHype.com. “I know I had a great performance, so I just want to get right back to work and keep the momentum going. Let’s keep fighting the big names.”

Currently, the super-medium rating has no shortage of talent. But while Plant can chase confrontations with the likes of David Benavidez and Anthony Dirrell, he has his eye on Jermall Charlo.

“I loved that fight. Anywhere, any time, any time. ”

Currently, Charlo is in the lower weight class than in the middle weight class. However, regardless of their weight difference, Charlo has repeatedly stated that he would be willing to give up his WBC middleweight belt to take on Alvarez at 168 pounds.

However, the Mexican-born boy pursued his path to the cruiser class. If Charlo decides to put on weight despite it, Plant will be happy to welcome him. And while he tries not to go into detail about how a match between them would play out, Plant gave a clear answer when asked who would win.

“I’m raising my hand, no doubt.”
