Shalom: We look forward to the completion of Eubank Jr-Brook

Advertiser Ben Shalom remains confident that a fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Kell Brook will happen.

However, the Boxxer CEO has advised Eubank to be realistic when it comes to the financial side of any deal.

“Kell won’t accept less money than he has for other matches and so that means Eubank has to be realistic,” he told Boxing Social’s Ayman Khan.

“Kell has done a lot in this fight. I think there is more risk for him, he doesn’t need to accept it. It’s been a great fight for Chris and I think Chris needs to be realistic perhaps or Chris’ team about what can afford that fight.

“We expect to get the job done. Chris has done unbelievable numbers on the platform (Sky Box Office). We invested a lot in him with Liam Williams and Wasserman on that last show and I hope that happens. I think it’s a big fight. We will see, hopefully in the next few days. ”

Eubank Jr had been interested in fighting Brook for a while and made his intentions clear when he attended the former welterweight champion’s final win over Amir Khan in Manchester.

One obstacle seems to be the weight limit. Eubank, a born average weight person, had no interest in meeting Brook’s tempting 155lbs weight offer. Instead, it looks like the proposed fight will come in at 158lbs. Stepping up to the weight division 2 pounds below the middleweight limit would be the highest Brook has fought since a punitive loss to Gennadiy Golovkin six years ago.
