You swapped out outfits for Vanity Fair Oscar party. What is the fashion story you want to tell with this look?
ZD: We are huge fans of Iris van Herpen. She creates visionary and incredibly unique architectural fashion. Ib managed to get my favorite look out of her show, this iridescent piece of art. It reminds me of a sea creature. I have never seen a dress like that. We basked in the ethereal magic of the dress with sparkling Jimmy Choo heels and silver jewelry.
IAN: We’ve been fortunate to have so many beautiful choices from great designers for Vanity Fair party, but when we tried on Iris van Herpen’s Qualia dress, there was no denying it—the dress sang! All the moving parts—texture, structure, iridescence—all resemble a beautifully choreographed symphony. Iris van Herpen is prolific and we are honored to have had the opportunity to work with them! It’s almost too perfect, as we bought a beautiful set of Iris van Herpen F/W 15 jumpsuits not too long ago from my friends at Farmer Jawns (a designer antique store). owned by Indigenous Peoples Here, LA), this is the perfect opportunity to tease what’s yet to come at Saturday night’s party.
This is your 13th time VF Oscar party. What do you enjoy about attending this event every year? There is a past VF The party looks outstanding to you?
ZD: I like to go to Vanity Fair party! It is very special and an honor to be involved in for many years. Two of my favorite past looks are the pink Christopher John Rodgers storage dress I wore last year, featuring this epic train ride (it’s an iconic dress with lots of it). dramatic), and Oscar de la’s floral and polka dot dress. Renta I wore a few years ago. It is very beautiful and feminine. I feel great wearing it.
What are some self-care rituals you do on the big red carpet day to keep yourself calm and feel your best?
ZD: I did the seven-minute sheet mask from Evidens de Beauté, it’s amazing. It really hydrates your skin and makes you glow.
