9 fashion trends rooted in Latin culture
I don’t think anyone would object when I say that our fast pace of life has too much of an impact on our fashion choices. On the one hand, we have never been more connected globally than we are now. The fact that a writer like me in New York can publish a story about what people are wearing in Milan same day or discover one emerging brand owned by Latinos and shouting it out to the world is a beautiful thing. But on the other hand, we consume and wear new trends faster than ever, and understanding the context that brought that fashion trend to life (aka its plot) is often bad for our health. strong.
So today, we’re taking a closer look at the cultural history behind some of today’s popular fashion items — each with their roots in Latin culture. Certainly Latin culture is very vast and includes cultures spanning over 20 countries and many continents.
