Winners of The IXth UN World Oceans Day Photo Contest was announced today in United Nations World Oceans Day (UNWOD) 2022 event at UN Headquarters in New York. The freestyle competition, launched this past March, explored six thematic categories related to the overarching theme of World Oceans day 2022: “Revival: Collective Action for Oceans “. World-renowned judges including wildlife photographer Rathika Ramasamy, conservation photojournalist and marine biologist Sirachai Arunrugstichai, and underwater photographer Y. Zin Kim, selected the winners. won first, second and third prizes for each category. Winners are selected from thousands of global entries by amateur and professional photographers.
