Soulja Boy says new Rappers need to choose Rap or street life
Soulja Boy spoke to HHDX about his new show Revolt, but in the interview he had some advice for rappers.
“I have favorite new rappers, but they’re on lockdown,” he said. “Let’s release young talent. We have to keep our new talent out on the street. Every time I find a new rapper, they’re locked in. So let’s release young rappers. I know it’s hard on the street, but you can’t be on the street and be a rapper. You have to separate it.”
“For everyone listening, man, if you want to be a rapper and take it seriously, you can’t have one foot in and one foot out, man. You have to have both legs. , man, you know what i’m saying
“But once you have that opportunity, where you can see that your platform has been raised right from the street, when you have millions of eyes and you have millions of dollars in revenue, you have to move it up.”
Soulja said that artists want to be on the street, but they have to make a decision whether to do music or stay on the street.
