2023 Lincoln Corsair gains new look and more tech, loses buttons

2023 Lincoln Corsair Enters its next model year with a remarkable refresh inside and out.

Lincoln‘S best selling car It gains some categories, but it also loses something big: the formerly optional 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. Due to low adoption rates, Lincoln is removing the most powerful engine from the lineup, making the 250hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder the sole pure petrol version of 2023. Corsair. Lincoln says 2.0-liter engine updated and changed for emissions reason, but it returns the same output and energy saving as before. The external changes are mainly in the new look of the Corsair. It has an all-new grille that is much larger than before. It has a wavy surface and for the PHEV it has a metallic foil surface with blue accents to indicate mixture status. The lower front bumper has been revised to accommodate the new grille design and new wheel options are available across the board. No changes have been made to the rear. Finally, two new color Available options: Crystal Red and Whisper Blue. Blue is new to Lincoln, and looking at it firsthand, it leans more towards periwinkle than blue – we love it.

As for the interior, Lincoln has redesigned the center stack with a new 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen taking center stage. It runs Sync 4 technology, can be updated via over-the-air updates, and features Amazon Alexa. You will be able to monitor Corsair’s new Auto Air System refresh (an optional feature) via the infotainment system. It has a unique laser sensor and cabin air filter that continuously monitors cabin air quality and is capable of refreshing cabin air 1.5 times per minute. A 12.3-inch instrument cluster also runs new software for 2023, and it’s standard in Corsair today.

The new center stack specifies a host of previous climate and vehicle controls, which Lincoln says is aimed at promoting a cooler cabin and a more spacious feel. The volume knob is still present, but most functions controlled by buttons and knobs that were previously available can now be found in the new, large touchscreen. Yes, that means the climate controls are now integrated into the touchscreen. Lincoln also says that customers want more technology, which is clearly interpreted as wanting to change the cabin temperature using the touch screen. Less controversially, Lincoln extended the lower vehicle container for greater storage capacity with this new-found space, but the result was largely just a cooler cabin.

Trimming and color take one more step forward in 2023, as the dash border can now be outfitted with a perforated star pattern backlight – it’s meant to look like a constellation on a dash your horizontal. New color “themes” (as Lincoln likes to call them) include Eternal Red and Smoked Truffle. The red has aluminum accents and is a deep red. Meanwhile, “Truffle” is a neutral combination of light brown and gray.

The last major update to note for the Corsair is the addition of Active Glide by Lincoln. That’s the brand name of Lincoln for Blue Cruise Used in Ford and it was originally launched in Navigation for Lincoln. The version coming to Corsair is the same update Ford just announced last week – it adds automatic lane change, better lane-keeping technology, and slows down for predictable turns.

Lincoln says that ordering for the updated Corsair is now available on its website. You will see the updated 2023 models hit the market authorized dealer in early 2023.
