I built a 1/24 set of that Stratos a few years ago, though it’s not my most prized model. I bought this kit while on a business trip in Japan and was super excited to get it. I decided to build it without the lightbox and the headlights lowered to show off the basic Stratos shape.
The highest rating must go to the Rossi Hawaiian NSR500 1/12, raced at the 2001 Italian MotoGP. The final year of the 2-stroke factory, the first year Rossi won the title in the top division, and the race. the only time he ran with a particular color tone that year.
It’s good to see another Stratos stan, but showcase a photo of KTM’s Valentino Rossi NSR500 model from The Doctor’s first year of first-place win. Very tropical indeed.
