Yodel blames “network problems” for disruptions

Delivery company Yodel is experiencing service delays because of what it describes as “network issues” affecting customer service and parcel tracking.

“Yodel experienced a network issue that caused some disruption. We are servicing customers but tracking is currently impacted,” a Yodel spokesperson told ZDNet.

They add.

There is currently no word on what is related to “network problems”.

“Yodel sincerely apologizes to their customers and their customers for any disruption this issue may cause and reassures them that the team is working around the clock to resolve this issue.” the spokesman added.

Craft beer retailer Beer Hawk uses Yodel for delivery delivery and is one of the customers affected by the incident. “Yodel is currently experiencing service delays due to system-wide outages,” Beer Hawk websitesaid the issues had affected their deliveries since at least Monday.

Customers took to social media to complain about Yodel’s lack of delivery or the ability to track packages within days. Visitors to the Yodel website encountered a banner, blaming “technical problems” for service problems.

“We are currently experiencing some technical issues, and as a result, our Customer Service team is currently unavailable. Parcel tracking is also not available via our tracking page and Yodel app. I’m working to get these issues resolved as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience,” the banner said.
