First, my cat Bella passed away in October 2014. Then in early December 2014, my dog Cuddles also passed away. I don’t know how I will cope; Bella has been with me for 19 years and Cuddles has been with me for 14 years. My other cat Stalker is running around with me.
My father attended a local mosque. The mosque has a colony of feral cats that they feed and care for, and they sometimes borrow my cat carrier to transport the cats to the vet when needed. One night in late December 2014, my father asked to borrow my aircraft carrier; I don’t think about it.
When he got home, he asked me to bring in the carrier. I suggested he leave it in the car next time, and he insisted I bring it in. So I went out and got the carrier and I was shocked by the sound. it emits when I pick it up… it makes a hissing sound.
I looked inside, and, lo and behold, there was the smallest kitten I had ever seen in there. I named her Maza, which means cuddler, even though she was far away then. She soon becomes one, though. My little guardian, to be honest, she’s not one to snuggle up with anyone other than me. If someone tried to get into my bedroom, she would hiss at them. If they tried to pet her, she would hiss at them, and if anyone got too close to me when I was sick, you guessed it… she hissed and attacked them.
Maza was estimated to be about 4 weeks old when I had her. Now nearly 18 months later, I still miss Bella and Cuddles, but she showed me unconditional love and I love her unconditionally, along with my other Wild Follower. I will not give them up for the world.
