Jermall Charlo is said to continue to have problems outside the law.
The 160-pound owner was arrested and charged with drunk driving after the Lamborghini he was driving collided with another vehicle Tuesday night in the Houston area, TMZ is reporting.
According to a spokesperson for the Pearland Police Department, Charlo and the driver of the other vehicle argued at the scene of the accident, after which the boxer fled.

Police tried to pull Charlo over, but he ignored sirens until they stopped him at a red light about a mile from the crash site, the spokesman said.
Charlo was then arrested. And sobriety tests at the police station showed his blood alcohol level was higher than 0.15. He was booked for DWI, fleeing from a police officer and leaving the scene of an accident that caused more than $200 in damage.
The fighter’s attorney, Kent Schaffer, told TMZ that drugs were not involved.
“Jermal is practicing. He did not use any drugs,” he said.
Shaffer added that he was told no one was injured in the crash.
Charlo was arrested last December for allegedly assaulting a family member. ESPN reported that his wife, Chyane Westbrook, filed for a restraining order and divorce.
He was also charged with assault in 2022, related to an incident that occurred the previous year, but the charges were dropped.
Charlo (33-0, 22 KOs) has not fought since defeating Jose Benavidez Jr. by a one-sided decision in November. He was considered a top contender to face Canelo Alvarez last weekend but the fight never materialized. He doesn’t have a fight scheduled.
