What will you play this weekend? (February 11th)

Jim Norman, editor

After the in-person rollout that would bankrupt me in the coming months, I was much which I will be hoping to play this weekend.

The amount that I can play is a completely different matter. I will be staying with some friends for the next few days so instead of participating more Capreplay some Layton, or give in and buy Metroid Prime Remastered, I think it will mostly be a return to party games. Who am I to complain? I love Luxury Mario Kart 8 And Nintendo Switch Sports It’s fast becoming one of my favorite ‘friends around’ titles, so it’s going to be a great time.

If I find the time, I’ll probably join more Fire Emblem joins or finally start Persona 4 Gold. They’re not quite the party people I’m after, but I couldn’t be any longer with them just staring at me from my Switch homepage…

For me, this weekend is all about the lovely remake of Metroid Prime Remastered, I can’t see myself doing anything but plunge in to relive the experience all over again. I’ve been playing for about an hour the first time and after revisiting the original relatively recently I’m super impressed, it really feels great and looks great, definitely one of the improvements more impressive than I’ve ever clapped. last.

Elsewhere, if I have a moment for anything else, I’ll keep going Bowser’s Wrath with my kids. Honestly, I’m not quite into this one yet, I feel it’s a bit disjointed, but they seem to like it, and that’s all that really matters. Have a great weekend!

There’s really only one game I played this weekend and that’s Metroid Prime Remastered. Hahaha, I really can’t believe I’m typing these words – it’s Final This!

Then again, if I have time, then I will definitely check out the Sea of Stars and Octopath Traveler II demo. I played about two minutes of Sea of Stars before today and hello boyit’s a beautiful game!

This weekend, I suggest we rename the feature ‘What are you NOT playing this weekend?’ Because, well, I feel like it is everything. Either way, I’m, probably like everyone else, going for Metroid Prime Remastered. I have never played the original (sorry!), although I watched my brother play a chunk of it. This remake means I can tick one of my biggest gaming mistakes off the list.

I also have Octopath Traveler II and Sea of Stars demos to mull over, and an entire library of Game Boy and GBA games to dig into. I played a little jigsaw puzzlebut fast playback Super Mario Land 2 maybe also on the card…

I’m waiting for a physical copy of Metroid Prime Remastered, so to pass the time, this weekend I’m diving into the Switch Online Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance libraries. I’m slowly chipping away at things. In fact, I’m almost done with Super Mario Land 2:6 Golden Coins.

Also, I’m trying to get through Mario Kart: Super Circuit – one of my favorite Mario Kart games and I’m also spending quality time with Kuru Kuru Kururin – a game that back in the day I really didn’t care much. In addition to these classic products, I will also be giving away new Konami products Power baseball game one go. It will be nothing right now on the Switch eShop. Have a good weekend everyone!

Here, I thought I’d wrap up Fire Emblem Engage this weekend but nope, a Nintendo Direct after that, I don’t just have to put the ending game aside to go get Hector Soren and Camilla in Divine Paralogue of the world map. If that wasn’t enough, demos of Sea of Stars (awesome!), Octopath Traveler II (with save data!) and Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe also appeared out of nowhere. All this along with Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance classics for replaying fun. Anyway, time for me to finish the Zelda Minish Cap.

Game of the week is Metroid Prime Remastered. As I explained during the Retro’s Magum opus live stream, the importance of this game cannot be denied. It’s not a quick buck either, the ‘remastered’ bit fits the moniker with Samus, Tallon IV and the Space Pirates looking the best we’ve ever seen! The rest of the next trilogy, please? Scanning…
