US Open 2022 TV schedule, coverage, live stream, watch online, channels, tee times at Brookline

The third major golf tournament of the 2022 season has come with controversy surrounding the backstage. However, the USGA is making sure as little wind as possible gets out of the sails of its flagship event as the 2022 US Open contenders join The Country Club. It will be the first time since 1988 that a national champion will be crowned in Brookline, Massachusetts, and some of the top contenders are entering their best golf dynamic of the season at the end of the season. prize.

This year’s event is set up with a course filled with the best golfers in the world. Masters champion Scottie Scheffler and PGA Championship champion Justin Thomas are both looking to double down. Scheffler is aiming to be the sixth golfer to win masters and the US Open in the same season, while Thomas managed to become the seventh person in history to win the PGA and US Open titles in a row.

However, not a favorite in Brookline either. That honor goes to Rory McIlroy, who is more motivated than anyone else in the field after defending his title at the RBC Canadian Open. McIlroy has three other top 10 finishes in his previous four starts and is one of only four golfers to finish in the top 10 in three (or more) of the last five US Opens.

However, the person making the most headlines this week is Phil Mickelson, who missed the first two majors of the year amid a setback from controversial comments. Mickelson returned to action last week and joined the Country Club still looking for a spot in the US Open to complete the big shot of his career. Unlike in 2021, when he entered the US Open with a major championship win, Lefty this year has only played three rounds of competitive golf in the past four and a half months. There is no doubt that six career second-place finishes at the US Open continue to haunt him, and his 10 top 10 finishes at the event since 1995 shows him We are in this age group more often than not.

While attending the US Open can be an exciting thing, just watching golf play on the biggest stages of the game is a wonderful thing every year. We here at CBSSports.com are excited to give you in-depth coverage of the week-long US Open.
