Just as the car industry can have good surprises, there can also be bad, or at least disappointing ones. And you can be sure that in a year of driving we will meet a few. These are the cars that did not meet our expectations.
In many ways, cars are better than they used to be. That’s not to say there aren’t any cars that don’t go the right way and rub us off the wrong way. And given the number of cars we drive, you can bet we’ve run past a few. Here are the cars we tried in 2021 that we don’t care about.
Lexus RC F Fuji version 2021
News editor Joel Stocksdale: Before going any further, I would like to note that I really like Lexus RC F. It’s not perfect, but it looks great and has one of the best V8s you can get right now, let alone any time in history. The Fuji version is also fun to drive, but it’s a terrible waste of money. These weight savings also help make it technically the fastest acceleration RC F, saving just under 0.3 seconds in a run up to 60 mph. The suspension is also a bit stiffer, and brake is carbon ceramic. It’s super rare, only 60 of them 2021and 50 of 2022.
But the problem is that it all costs more than $30,000. And on the street, it doesn’t really feel any different from a regular RC F. but you can buy great number of track time and even upgrade parts for the regular RC F for the money you spent on a limited production model.
Jaguar XF 2021

Ford Mustang Mach 1

2021 Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo
