Compared to the standard J7, the PHEV has more aerodynamically efficient 19-inch wheels, allowing an electric-only driving range of up to 89 km and a combined driving range of nearly 1200 km with a full tank and battery.

Jaecoo’s larger J8 PHEV – which we don’t have pictures of at the moment – ​​is powered by the same petrol engine but has two electric motors on the front and rear axle respectively, delivering a whopping 445kW and 915Nm.

The brand is expected to launch in Australia from the second half of 2024, with J7 features and pricing to be announced closer to its arrival.
