Mini on Wednesday unveiled a new electric vehicle, although it’s unclear whether it will come to the US
Called the Aceman, the new model is a crossover that borrows its name and minimalist styling from a 2022 concept car. At just 160 inches long, it sits between the redesigned 2025 Mini Cooper hatchback and Mini Countryman 2025 crossover.
That footprint also means the Aceman is a step smaller than the Aceman. Mini has confirmed the Aceman E and Aceman SE variants. The base Aceman E has a 42.5 kwh battery pack and a front-mounted electric motor tuned for 181 horsepower, enough for 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. Aceman SE has a capacity of 54.2 kwh and a 214 horsepower engine, reaching a speed of 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.

European WLTP range is estimated at 192 miles for the Aceman E and 252 miles for the larger-battery Aceman SE—so don’t expect 200 miles EPA from this model in any form. The E and SE can DC fast charging at 75 kw and 95 kw respectively, in both cases allowing for a 10-80% charge in just under 30 minutes.
As of now, the only electric Mini was the Cooper SE—also one of the most affordable electric cars in the US market. But the redesigned 2025 Cooper and Countryman will both be available as electric vehicles. These models are expected to come to the US, but we’ll have to wait and see if the Aceman makes it here.
