The Johor government creates a mechanism to support the use of electric vehicles


The Johor state government plans to develop a mechanism to support the future use of electric vehicles, with the participation of relevant industries, Bernama reported.

Mr. Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the move was in line with the Johor state government’s initiative to increase the use of electric vehicles in the state. gasoline-powered vehicles by 2030.

“It is inevitable, which means Johor must have a plan to establish a cooperative relationship with the local government. I will discuss this matter with secretary of state Tan Sri Azmi Rohani [for] a more organized and strategic mechanism, involving industries with sources of strength to support our strategy [on EVs] in the years to come,” said Onn Hafiz.
