The farmer stops harvesting to rescue and reunites 5 blocks with their mother
IIn a moving example of community and compassion, the locals of an undisclosed area halted harvesting and planting operations to rescue five kittens in the woods.
In a viral Twitter threadIFS officer Parveen Kaswan shared a video in which officials perform rescue operations for 5 people Felis chaus (wildcat) cubs, protected species. Kaswan said the cubs were found by farmers while they were harvesting in a field. Authorities were alerted and in the video, farmers and locals can be seen arranging for the cubs.
In a detailed thread, Kaswan wrote, “All [cubs] so small that they cannot survive without their mother. So we decided to reunite them… Teams and villagers were stationed at night near the site, so that they could be monitored and not disturbed. ” (sic)
What’s more amazing is that in a few photos, Kaswan has documented how the mother works through the night to bring her cubs back, slowly and stealthily, one by one.
The rescue work has gone viral on social media and has even been picked up by international publications.
