The ASBK Finale at The Bend lasts a week
2022 mi-bike Motorcycle insurance Calendar ASBK
ASBK was forced to change the date of the final round of the 2022 Australian Mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Championship, organized by Motul (ASBK) at The Bend Motorsport Park.
The event was originally scheduled to take place from December 2 to 4, 2022, now it will take place a week earlier on November 25 – 27, 2022.
This is the weekend right after the penultimate round of the championship at Phillip Island, where ASBK will be the act in support of the World Superbike Championship finale.
This change became necessary after the South Australian Government and Supercars announced that the Adelaide 500 would return on the same weekend as the original event date.
In the interest of ensuring the best ASBK event for race fans in South Australia, across the country and watching at home via TV, the decision has been made to move the ASBK event.
Peter Doyle – Managing Director, Motorcycling Australia
“While you never want to change your schedule after the season starts, this change is a small one and we are delighted to be working alongside the management team at The Bend Motorsport. Park to ensure the best possible outcome for the Championship and our die-hard fans. ”
Dr. Sam Shahin, CEO, The Bend Motorsport Park
“We are delighted to host the ASBK Championship season finale at The Bend, and changing the date will allow us to build on the momentum from last year to invite international riders to compete. Jack Miller’s participation last year brought another dimension to ASBK racing in Australia, and we are very much working on a repeat appearance this year. The ASBK Finals has quickly become one of the best motorsport events in the country, and certainly on par with our Supercar event at The Bend in the South Korean motorsport support scene. Australia; this is how big of a support it is for two wheeler racing in SA. ”
