Receiving a color update for the Malaysian market is the 2024 Yamaha MT-25, priced at RM23,998. Before, Yamaha MT-25 2023 priced at RM22,998, an increase of RM1,000 with all prices excluding road tax, insurance and registration.
New color options for the MT-25 are Midnight Black and Midnight Cyan. The MT-25 with the new livery will be available at Hong Leong Yamaha dealership showrooms starting May 8 with every purchase receiving a free Yamaha disc lock worth RM100.
There are no other changes to the MT-25 in Malaysia, with power coming from a 249cc, liquid-cooled, two-cylinder engine. The capacity of the MT-25 is said to be 35.5 horsepower at 12,000 rpm and maximum torque of 23.6 Nm at 10,000 rpm.
Wearing a Naked Sportbike style, the MT-25 is equipped with a 14-liter fuel tank, weight is 167 kg while saddle height is 780 mm. Other equipment remains the same with LED lighting throughout and a monochrome LCD screen displaying all necessary information.
Single front and rear hydraulic disc brakes stop, 17-inch wheels shod with 110/70 front and 140/70 rear rubber tires with dual-channel ABS fitted as standard. Suspension is done with non-adjustable inverted forks up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock that holds the rear in place.
