TAA represented at Jeff Ruby Steaks Day
The Thoroughbred Care Alliance (TAA) will once again be present for Jeff Ruby Steaks Day at Turfway Park. Race #6 presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance will begin at 3:13pm EST this Saturday, April 2, 2022. A presentation of a TAA blanket and crossbody bag will be made for the winners after the race. TAA Turfway Park supporters will raise awareness about aftercare throughout race day.
Twelve kids three and older are expected to ride a mile on dirt roads in the $25,000 subsidized option race. Of the 12 entered, two were affiliated with TAA advocates: #6 COUNTING ITEM bred by Elm Tree Farm and #13 ENGINE SEARCH owned in part by MyRacehorse.
“The work of the Thoroughbred Care Coalition is of paramount importance to Turfway Park,” said Turfway Park Racing & Racing Secretary, Tyler B. Picklesimer. “Turfway Parks is delighted to once again welcome TAA to join us for Jeff Ruby Steaks Day.”
“The Thoroughbred Care Alliance is a fundamental tool of the racing industry,” said TAA Foundation and Events Director Emily (Dresen) Scandore. “Making space for TAA on big race days, such as Jeff Ruby Steaks Day, is a testament to that fact. We are grateful to be able to count on Turfway’s continued support and commitment to Park to TAA’s mission.”
