Earlier this month, Honda announced the formation of a trio of electric vehicles (EVs). New Ye lineup in China. All three have since made their public debut at the ongoing Auto China 2024 in Beijing, so here are some live photos of them.

We start with the P7, an SUV scheduled to launch in late 2024, with sales and production handled by the automaker’s GAC Honda joint venture. Along with that is the S7, another SUV model that will be launched by Dongfeng Honda this year.

Both models are built on an electric vehicle-specific platform called the W Architecture and will be offered with single-motor, rear-wheel drive or dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrains. The platform also features a double-wishbone suspension at the front, while the rear is a five-link setup. Currently, detailed specifications such as output and range are unknown.

The P7 and S7 follow in the footsteps of other Honda models that have very similar mechanics but different designs. Common cues include a wraparound windscreen, sloping rear windscreen, large D-pillars, retractable door handles as well as branding trim near the rear view mirrors. Both Ye models (the name means “bright and shining”) also feature a flat version of the traditional ‘H’ logo.

The P7 differs from the S7 in the front and rear, the former sporting LED headlights with C-shaped daytime running lights linked by a light bar. By comparison, the S7’s daytime running lights are Y-shaped, also with a light bar connecting them, while the main headlight cluster is arranged diagonally.

Moving to the rear, the P7’s taillights mimic the design of the front DRL daytime running lights, extending deep into the rear door to match the Honda lettering in the center. The S7 takes a different approach to the H-shaped lighting system thanks to vertical taillight elements connected by a light bar running just above the same lettering on the rear door.

While the exteriors of the P7 and S7 are different, the interior is almost identical with the main highlight being the large vertical touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard. This provides access to all the car’s functions, including climate controls, while the center console is quite simple – in addition to the gear selectors – also sees a number of buttons (like the selector). driving mode) is located at the base of the display case.

Located deep in the dashboard in front of the driver is a slim digital clock cluster, along with other notable details are the air conditioning vents on both sides of the almost hexagonal steering wheel. You’ll also notice screens near the A-pillar showing video feeds from side-mounted cameras on the outside.

The third Ye model is currently on display as a show car. Called the GT Concept, it previews a production sedan due in 2025. The sporty four-door features sleek styling as well as the same signature X-shaped daytime running lights like S7.

At the rear, the GT Concept features ultra-slim taillights, while other details include pop-out door handles, side cameras, 22-inch wheels, forged carbon trim and a rather prominent pixelated theme.

Inside, you’ll find a futuristic (and quite edgy) dashboard design completed with a racing-inspired steering wheel and yoke as well as a plethora of screens. Whether everything we see here makes it into the production version remains to be seen.

The trio is just the start of the Ye electric vehicle line, as Honda says it will have three more by 2027. The company also has the e:N lineup, which will make up a lineup of 10 electric vehicles, with more possibilities to be added in the future.
