In Soundfall, you play as one of five musical heroes sent to a distant world to protect music from the forces of Discord.
Soundfall is a procedurally generated rhythm-based twin shooter for music. Players are thrown into a familiar visual and control setup that is top-down hack-and-slash, with a big twist: actions executed to the beat are more intense. Lose the beat, and you lose strength.
The result is equally frenetic and meditative, as players find a balance between keeping an eye on their enemies and acting in time to the music in a world that rotates and pops to the same music. .

The heroes of Soundfall – Melody, Jaxon, Lydia, Brite and Ky – are musical geniuses from Earth, transported to Symphonia, the World of Music, through the mysterious Soundfall. Each character has their own special attack and ultimate ability tied to the Instrument of Harmony – an ancient musical weapon capable of countering Discord’s forces.
It wouldn’t be an easy task, even for the five of them. Discord’s force is led by Banshee, Discord’s most cunning lieutenant, and she brings with her a host of fearsome Discords, sinister musical creatures that wreak havoc wherever they find them. The player will have to defeat the Discordians in each world before the music can be saved.
While all of Soundfall is playable solo, with five characters, co-op options are plentiful. Soundfall offers remote and couch co-op, and the entire game can be played cooperatively, from the campaign to the freestyle mode.
