Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

It’s been over a few months since debut Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While the game was pretty fun at launch, admittedly there were some bugs and technical issues. Game Freak has been quick to address some of these issues with a few updates, but it doesn’t appear to be complete yet.

On the game’s official support page, Nintendo announced Version 1.2.0 is expected to arrive at the end of February.

This sizable update will add some features to the Pokémon Box and will target some bugs. It also mentions how “seriously” the development team is taking player feedback to help improve the experience, and a footnote says the team is planning “features”. additions and fixes” is not listed.

Here are the full patch notes, via the support page:

Fixes

The Battle of Tera Raid

  • A bug that could prevent the HP bar of an opponent’s Pokémon Tera from accurately reflecting damage inflicted by certain moves (such as Rough Play) or certain status conditions that may occur during Battle during the Tera raid, resulting in Pokémon Tera’s HP bar fluctuating in an unusual way. This will be fixed.
  • A bug that causes all Pokémon on your side to faint at the same time even though their HP bar shows they still have HP can occur during Black crystal Tera Raid Battles against Pokémon with the Strongest Mark. This will be fixed.
  • A bug that could temporarily prevent the player from entering any information into the game could occur if the Pokémon Tera performs certain actions while the player is selecting their move target. This will be fixed.
  • A communication error can occur when someone connected to Tera Raid Battle sees a different Pokémon displayed on their screen than what the host sees. This will be fixed.
  • A possible bug causes players entering Tera Raid Battles from the Tera Raid Battle search screen to be taken to Tera Raid Battles against Pokémon other than the one they see displayed. This will be fixed.
  • A bug that prevented Tera Raid Battle crystals from appearing for a certain amount of time could occur under certain circumstances. This will be fixed.

battle

  • The type of battle against a fainted Pokémon will no longer appear when selecting a move or target in a Duel.
  • A Zoroark that has been Terastallized and disguised as another Pokémon through its Illusion Ability can be identified as a Zoroark using the Test Target option. This is a bug and will be fixed.
  • Once Zoroark is Terastallized and disguised as another Pokémon through its Illusion Ability, the appropriate move types are displayed based on the type of Pokémon Zoroark is disguised as, rather than Zoroark’s Tera Type. This is a bug and will be fixed.
  • Dondozo’s stats with Tatsugiri in his mouth will increase when Dondozo uses Order Up, even if the move should have been nullified (e.g. by an opponent using Protect). This is a bug and will be fixed.
  • If a Pokémon Terastallizes after using Destiny Bond and then faints, the Destiny Bond effect will not activate. This is a bug and will be fixed.

Other

  • We’re addressing an issue that could force the game to close at certain locations. Due to this fix, it is possible to reduce the number of Pokémon and humans displayed in certain towns or in the wild.
  • When a Pokémon that is not part of the Paldea Pokédex is obtained through an Affiliate Trade, it will be shown as registered with the Paldea Pokédex. This is a bug and will be fixed.
  • Some actions can cause the protagonist’s expression to remain unchanged until the game is closed and reopened. This will be fixed.
  • Some players experienced an error after Ranked Match Season 1, where accessing the Ranked Match screen immediately after the season results were calculated caused a communication error as soon as the players This gets their reward. After this bug, players can no longer participate in any Ranked Matches. This will be fixed.
  • If a player has created several Battle Teams but does not use the First Place Battle Team for their Ranked Matches, they may not receive the primary Ranked Ribbon after winning the Battles. ranked match in the Main Ball Tier. This will be fixed.
  • When a Pokémon you caught is returned to you from another player via Link Trade, it may not listen to your commands according to what is written in the profile app (“Pokémon caught at Lv. XX or below will listen to your commands”). This will be fixed.
  • A bug is preventing the Pokédex from displaying additional items (such as those for Shiny Pokémon or Pokémon received through Surprise Trade from players playing in another language) for Pokémon species registered in Pokédex. This will be fixed.
  • Objects such as Poke Balls may be unintentionally displayed in certain locations of the field. This will be fixed.
  • Passers-by will no longer be shown in some of the battles that take place in towns in the main story.
  • More selective fixes will be rolled out.
