Rogue Legacy 2 is out on April 28th and the first game is free now
The sequel has been out in Early Access since August 2020 and it’s time
Know well that many of you aren’t interested in all of early access (even for a sequel as enticing as Rogue Legacy 2), I’m happy to share that version 1.0 is coming. Tunnel door game will fully launch Rogue Legacy 2 on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on April 28, 2022. Did you even know there to be a sequel on the way?
Registered with the working version this and thereI’ve played enough Rogue Legacy 2 for a good feel for metroidvania-style possibilities, quirky classes, and a stunning new art direction that doesn’t lose even a single stroke of polish. That is a look.
Much like the original game, much of the appeal is the action that builds your way through a random castle while slowly accumulating permanent upgrades to improve your odds of reaching your next milestone. you – and finally the end. It’s fun slashing baddies, exploring branching rooms, solving environmental puzzles, and taking down big bosses in Rogue Legacy 2. It’s exciting to watch your numbers bounce back at the base. This recipe works well and I’m happy to return to the next part without any content gaps.
Since the last time I signed up, the developers have finish final boss, a full conclusion, “Biological Change Burdens”, optimization work and more.
The prospect of New Game+ is fascinating and terrifying, all at the same time. It’s the kind of hard-to-miss roguelite experience that people like me tend to do their best. I know I will.
What about other platforms?
As for potential Nintendo Switch, PS4 or PS5 versions, my expectation is “maybe someday!” But now, Rogue Legacy 2 will launch on PC and Xbox this month.
“We are a small team, so we are taking things step by step,” say Cellar Door.
Worth mentioning, though: Rogue Legacy 2 To be Steam Deck Verified.
If you missed the original you should check out the vibe it’s free on PC as it has a lot in common with its sequel. Epic Games Store is given Fraudulent legacy (and also The Disappearance of Ethan Carteranother easy suggestion) free until April 14.
