One of the newest Pokemon-like a game will not be available on all platforms this week. Initial, Freedom Games and TRAGsoft announced Coromon will be coming to Switch and PC on March 31, 2022. However, last-minute issues with some features have resulted in delays. As such, the PC version will arrive as scheduled this week. However, the Switch release will not.
This is the full statement. It specifically notes that cross-platform multiplayer and online features, which may involve multiplayer or cross-platform saves in general, have not worked as expected.
This is definitely not an announcement we’ve ever wanted to make, but we want to be as transparent and honest as possible with all of you. While working on our Nintendo Switch port Coromon, we ran into some unexpected difficulties when it came to online and cross-platform features. We want to make sure that the experience that we bring to all of you on Switch will be the best it can be, and to do this we have to delay the Switch launch. We hope that this delay will not be too long as we know that you are all very excited to play Coromon on the go and against your friends/other researchers.
With all that said, we’re still launching on Steam this Thursday, March 31! The Steam build will include cross-platform multiplayer and save. Your saves from the Steam beta will also be able to be carried over to the full version of the game. Once we launch on Switch, you’ll also be able to play on multiple platforms. We can’t wait to bring Coromon for Nintendo Switch, so we’re working around the clock to get it done and will update you all when we have a new release date.
Coromon will be coming to PC via Steam on March 31, 2022, and the Switch version still doesn’t have a new release date. There is also a PC demo available.
