The end of the year is coming to an end, which means that 2023 is about to begin. While 2022 has been a huge hit thanks to God of War: Ragnarök, that doesn’t mean 2023 has nothing in store. Next year is going to be a huge year for PlayStation, with a slew of exciting releases. Whether you’ve been looking forward to the release of super-customizable DualSense Edge controllers, virtual reality adventures with PlayStation VR2, amazing new IPs like Forspoken, or sequels to iconic titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, this year has something for you. While a lot is coming to PlayStation in 2023, this article aims to highlight some of the most important that have been announced for 2023.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Speaking of Marvel’s Spider Man 2, let’s start with some exciting news from developer Insomniac Games confirming a release date for the web sequel. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on PS5 in the fall of 2023.
Following the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Spider-Man duo Peter Parker and Miles Morales are back in the next blockbuster action chapter of the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise. There’s still a lot to be revealed about the game, and beyond the quality of the previous two titles, we’re bound to embark on a great new original Spider-Man adventure.

If you’ve ever wanted to play a game with endless exploration, magical combat, parkour, and New York charm, Forspoken should be on your radar. This brand new IP from legendary publisher Square Enix and developer Luminous Productions combines all that and more, taking you into a vast fantasy world and giving you the moves really stylish. While the role-playing game’s early scenes are mainly focused on fluid movement, the combat is no less competitive. The main character Frey has access to various spells to use in battle. Earth, fire, and other elemental castings are at her side and call out against hordes of enemies in the game. You’ll use these powers in tandem with Frey’s mobility to deal with these threats in a way unique to Forspoken. However, it’s not all high-speed action. When you need to slow down and take a break, you can dig into the item crafting system or take a quick selfie at a photo location. As usual in the RPG world, Frey can gain experience points to upgrade her move and combat skills further, leading to more gameplay possibilities in the world of Forspoken. Now you just have to decide what you want to do in this upcoming magical open world adventure.

DualSense Edge Wireless Controller
The DualSense Edge Wireless Controller is the first extremely customizable controller for PlayStation. It has a unique set of customization options and settings. Not only can you remap specific button inputs, but for first-person shooters, stick sensitivity and dead zones can also be adjusted. You can also modify the trigger with the right travel distance and dead zone. Hogwarts legacy
Hogwarts Legacy takes you to the world of the Harry Potter series without a broomstick. Set in the 1890s, this action role-playing game developed by Avalanche Software takes the Wizarding World and turns it into a fully interactive open world. With a fully customizable player avatar, you’ll attend Hogwarts, choose your house, and get into trouble in true Harry Potter style. As you explore locations taken from the book and movie series, you’ll level up in the mystical arts. And no need to worry about time away from home when taking witchcraft classes. Not only are you sure to make friends at Hogwarts, but you can also tame and ride the iconic amazing beasts that have become famous thanks to the franchise. Just be sure to watch out for dangers in the mysterious world of trolls, trolls, and other monsters.

PlayStation VR2
If you want to immerse yourself even deeper then PlayStation VR2 is a must. The added PS VR2 Sense controller includes key features from the DualSense wireless controller such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Destiny 2: Light
The future of Destiny 2 is picking up speed on PlayStation with the title’s seventh expansion, Lightfall, releasing in early 2023. This Bungie’s epic FPS continuation is said to be the end of an era of the series. Destiny, complete the “Light and Darkness Saga” before introducing us to its grand future. Lightfall brings you to face your end and a new beginning, with the Witness emerging with a new fleet, the Disciple, and threats of a second downfall. You and your team must solve the problems and send this Dark Legion back to the starry space. And you can do that with some stylish new weapons, the Shadow subclass, and the addition of a grappling hook-like tool called the Strand, all in the new metropolis of Neptune.

Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 is returning and bringing all the fear, suspense, and excitement to the PlayStation 5. Next year, Leon Kennedy will again go from being a rookie cop on his first day at the Police Department. Raccoon City into a zombie circle rock legend with the long-awaited remake of Resident Evil 4. This reimagining of the 2005 classic is taking many cues from previous Resident Evil remakes. and keep the same appeal that made the original great while adding tons of features to make it worthy of sharing the same title. Although the game looks much more realistic, the top-notch action and fear are still there and not missing a beat. What other game lets you block chainsaws with Leon’s trusty knife? This is the Resident Evil classic once again for a modern audience.

Final Fantasy XVI
RPG fans around the world are clamoring to see more of Final Fantasy XVI and finally get their hands on it. Enter a world of six kingdoms: Rosaria, Waloed, Iron Kingdom, Crystalline Dominion, Sanbreque, and the Dhalmekian Republic, each standing shoulder to shoulder and seeking access to iconic crystals of power of the series. You play as the eldest son of the Archduke of Rosaria, Clive Rosaria, and embark on a journey of revenge due to the arrival of the familiar summoner, Ifrit. The title is taking a fresh approach to the Final Fantasy formula, with more in-depth battles than ever before, thanks to director Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida’s choice to bring in Ryota Suzuki (Devil May Cry). 5, Dragon’s Dogma) as the fighting director. But don’t think world-building will be put back, as it and all its inhabitants will come together to tell another epic story worthy of the Final Fantasy name.
