A second Australian household has been hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning after trying to heat their home with a coal-fired furnace – showing the reality of the country’s ongoing energy crisis.
The emergency services have joined a house in AdelaideBedford Park on Friday morning after the four woke up feeling faint and nosebleed.
They tried to warm their house overnight with pots. All four showed signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Two 28-year-old women, a 24-year-old man, and a 31-year-old man were brought to Flinders Medical Center just after 1:30 a.m.
South Australian Police confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that they are currently in a non-life-threatening condition.
It comes after a family of six from Sydney’s west were also hospitalized this week after using a burner to heat their grandmother’s flat.

Fortunately in these cases the families survived. The next group of desperate people may not be so lucky
It’s easy to look down on those who did this, marveling at their stupidity, but we don’t know what it was like in those houses and apartments. Desperate people do desperate things.
I blame politicians for this level of desperation, in which people risk their lives for a little warmth. This problem is completely fixable, all the politicians have to do is abandon their green policies and free up the energy market to find the cheapest solution.
Green rights politicians must know their renewable energy drive has consequences, but they move on. They just don’t care.
