Coming to you from Blake Rudis with f64 academy, this great video tutorial will show you how to use Photoshop’s Blend If function to blend exposures. BlendIf is a bit hidden in the program, but it is quite powerful. It works by combining two layers based on their grayscale brightness or the brightness of one of the individual color channels. Depending on the application, this allows you to create double exposures, targeting specific areas for adjustments without complicated masking or, in this case, mixing multiple exposures. Just make sure to take advantage of the feathering capabilities, as this will allow you to easily blend the transition and make a more believable edit.
