Nigel Benn Just Confirmed His Son Conor’s Next Fight?
Nigel Benn has never been afraid to speak his mind but doing so may have put a cat out of the bag.
The son of former world champion Conor has been the subject of widespread speculation that the next fight will come to Chris Eubank Jr on October 8, with the first story reported by the Daily Star.
Because of the different weight classes both men compete in (Welterweight and Middleweight), any fight must be done in an attractive weight class.
Another Briton who jumped from 147lbs to 160lbs during his career is Kell Brook. In 2016, the Sheffield boxer knocked out Gennadiy Golovkin of Kazakhstan, ironically after Eubank Jr shortened the score.
Brook lost in five rounds and was severely punished resulting in a broken eye socket. The topic was taken to Twitter with one user saying.
“Brook was never the same after GGG. Can’t believe Hearn has become so ironic – not at this stage in Benn’s career’
Nigel Benn later responded to the comment:
“This is what Conor wants, this won’t spoil Conor, he wasn’t made that way. Let’s see how he does it. I’m supporting him, win or lose or draw my friend. “
This is what Conor wants, this won’t damage Conor.

After all the reports, all the interviews and the debate was just a tweet from Conor’s father to more or less confirm that the 30 year old rival Benn-Eubank relationship will be resumed once again.
