Boxing House Promotions Results: Justin Figueroa defeated Antoni Armas; John Leonardo stops Frank Gonzalez

8-0 Justin Figueroa fought to keep his perfect record Saturday night in Atlantic City. On the other hand, his opponent, Antoni Armas, 13-7, hopes to surprise those present at the Tropicana Resort and Casino. Figueroa lost time in the first. He applied good pressure for a second… until the final moments of the round, which is when Armas briefly dropped him.

With that said, Figueroa successfully returned to form in the third round. He also has an active quarter. However, Armas’s shoulder injury left the poor guy unable to continue fighting. Of course, this led to Figueroa winning by technical knockout.

After Figueroa and Armas left the ring, it was time for the main event of the match. Boxing internal promotions’ Card. 10-1-1 John Leonardo takes on 12-5 Frank Gonzalez in a scheduled eight-rounder at junior featherweight. The first time was pretty close. The second part saw Leonardo assert himself against Gonzalez. The third round is another closing round.

Leonardo appeared to be the more controlling fighter in the fourth round, although the fight remained competitive. Both men fought closely in the fifth round. With that said, Leonardo effectively attacked Gonzalez as the round ended. Leonardo hurt Gonzalez in the sixth round and then continued to pile it on. Gonzalez eventually fell down, causing the referee to stop the celebration.
