NFL playoff images: Seed and match predictions for AFC, NFC brackets for Week 15

History is made – and no team has ever won a playoff spot.

For the third time since 1978, Week 14 has come and gone without a team winning a playoff spot to date. That’s what we call peer-to-peer, friends.

In the AFC, the playoff picture is clear and some very familiar faces have topped the congress rankings. The end of AFC (and eventually NFC) has a lot of things to sort out in the coming weeks.

In total, there are 14 teams across the league sitting at or in a game of .500 in either direction, and the final four games of the 2021 regular season could turn out to be brand new Week 18 games. .

However, if the season ends today, here’s how it would play out:

• First seed: New England Patriots (9-4)

The rest of the game: at Colts, versus Bills, versus Jaguars, at Dolphins

Which wall rookie?

Mac Jones has only gotten better this season, and thanks to the extremely late Week 14 Goodbye, he and the Patriots will rest before they chase the No. 1 seed. They have a decent schedule, however. remaining hard, so New England will absolutely have to earn that.

• Second Seed: Tennessee Titans (9-4)

The rest of the game: at the Steelers, versus the 49ers, versus the Dolphins, at Texans

The way the Titans overcame the trauma of Derrick Henry, AJ Brown and Julio Jones was admirable. That makes the AFC South one of the weaker leagues in football. It also gives the Titans a win over the Chiefs at the start of the season.

• 3rd seed: Kansas City Chiefs (9-4)

The rest of the game: at the Chargers, versus the Steelers, at the Bengals, versus the Broncos

Kansas City’s defensive rebirth has propelled them firmly into the mix as one of the AFC’s best teams entering Week 15. If that’s a scary thought, consider that Patrick Mahomes and the captain. criminals have yet to really hit their stride as the regular season nears its end.

• 4th seed: Baltimore Ravens (8-5)

Remaining games: with. Packers, at the Bengals, vs. Rams, vs. Steelers

Raven have come to this point with a woeful season from Lamar Jackson and numerous injuries in the running room, and they still have to face two rivals in the same division before they can call themselves AFC North champions. . Not a short one, and they had the toughest schedule left of any division leader.

• 5th Seed: Los Angeles Chargers (8-5)

Remaining games: versus Chiefs, at Texans, versus Broncos, at Raiders

The Chargers and Chiefs go head-to-head in a big game “Thursday Night Football,” and with Los Angeles sitting behind captains in the division, it could play a key role in seeding decisions.

• 6th seed: Indianapolis Colts (7-6)

Remaining games: against the Patriots, at the Cardinals, against the Raiders, at the Jaguars

MVP contender Jonathan Taylor shows no signs of slowing down in 2021, and Goodbye Week is sure to help refresh his legs. Taylor’s final game was a horrifying one: He ran for 143 yards and two touchdowns in a performance that outperformed the Texans.

• 7th Seed: Buffalo Bills (7-6)

Remaining games: vs. Panthers, at Patriots, vs. Falcons, vs. Jets

It would be unfair to say that the Bills are having a disappointing season, as they are still in the hunt for the AFC East. That hunt may be coming to an end, however, unless the Patriots return to Earth. Buffalo has been trading win and lose since October 10 and is currently on a two-loss streak (4-5 in that range).

• Seed #1: Green Bay Packers (10-3)

Remaining games: at Ravens, versus Browns, versus Vikings, at Lions

The Packers benefited from a softer schedule, ending with three consecutive home games. Aaron Rodgers’ foot may not be working so well, but Green Bay’s Super Bowl hopes are doing well.

• Second seed: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-3)

Remaining games: versus Saints, at Panthers, at Jets, versus Panthers

The Buccaneers could secure a playoff spot with a win over the Saints, putting Tom Brady and crime in the top spot for another dramatic Super Bowl this year. It’s not over yet, though, as they’ve won the best record in the NFL. Their incredibly easy schedule for the rest of the season should help a lot.

• 3rd Seed: Arizona Cardinals (10-3)

Remaining games: in Lions, vs. Colts, at the Cowboys, vs. Seahawks

Even with the loss to the Rams, the Cardinals are still in the NFC West’s chair, and they still have a No 1 seed in the conference – but it’s not unfair to question the team’s readiness for the playoffs as how. . Next month will answer that question, with games against playoff hopefuls, a division rival, and fearsome lions.

• 4th seed: Dallas Cowboys (9-4)

Remaining games: at Giants, versus Washington, versus Cardinals, at Eagles

The Cowboys face NFC East opponents three of their remaining four games in 2021, with their only other opponent being the tough Cardinals. While the division is weaker this year, weird things happen in the NFC East, and Dak Prescott isn’t himself lately, the Super Bowl hype has died down just a bit.

• 5th seed: Los Angeles Rams (9-4)

Remaining games: vs. Seahawks, at Vikings, at Ravens, vs. 49ers

The Rams claimed a big, brave victory over the Cardinals in Week 14, keeping them in the middle of the NFC West race. What was arguably more encouraging for Los Angeles was quarterback Matthew Stafford looking like himself in the game, after a rough stretch of the game.

• 6th seed: San Francisco 49ers (7-6)

Remaining games: against the Falcons, at the Titans, against the Texans, at the Rams

San Francisco has come to life after a difficult 2-4 start to the season and questions about job security early on surrounding head coach Kyle Shanahan. However, the 49ers’ path to the knockout stages wasn’t entirely easy: They played games against the Rams and Titans, but also played against easier opponents like the Falcons and Texans.

• 7th Seed: Washington Football Team (7-6)

Remaining games: at Eagles, at Cowboys, versus Eagles, at Giants

Washington has four games against rivals NFC East to close out the season, and three are en route. They hope to have full-back Taylor Heinicke for the length of the season.
