Newgate entered the Top 10 of the NTRA thoroughbred poll


Saudi Cup Champion (G1) Mr. Buscador retained his number one ranking for a sixth week in the National Thoroughbred Racing Association’s top thoroughbred poll, released March 5.

The top three horses voted by NTRA all ran in the Saudi Cup. Third place finisher Crown of Saudi Arabia moved up one place to second place this week. He edged the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (G1) winner. National treasure who finished fourth in the Saudi Cup.

There are two notable dynamics among 3-year-olds. Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) Winner Dornoch was upgraded from 10th to fourth, while Gotham Stakes (G3) winner identify went from unranked to 10th.
