Pistol Whip unleashes the power of metal with the Voidslayer Collection June 6 – PlayStation.Blog

Remember last summer, when Pistol Whip had five new Vertigo Scenes and one of them featured soaring castle towers, catapult battles, and not one but two dragons?

At Cloudhead, we looked at that Scene (Illustrious Majesty) and said “This rules and we will make an entire Collection out of it and no one can stop us.”

And of course, we’ve added another new music genre to the game: power metal.

Welcome to Voidslayer: The madness of three new Pistol Shots rushes through noisy villages, cataclysmic battlefields, to a place where Earth and the universe blend together. Each Scene is an action in an epic journey. In the first stage, Hero’s Dawn, you will awaken to the call of fate and follow it through a world of fire and darkness, with countless enemies rushing past you as you go.

For our seasoned Pistol Whip players, we also have some new Modifiers to check out.

Color combination forcing you to think quickly, as your weapons will be color-coordinated with your enemies on the battlefield. Only shots from guns of the right color will hit the target. This is one of those Modifiers that as soon as you master it, you’ll want to go back and replay each Scene just to see how much it changes the rhythm.

Meanwhile, Deflector The modifier gives you the ability to send bullets bouncing back at your enemies. And if you’re also using the Metal Gauntlets, remember to throw up the horns every time you get deflected. You won’t get extra points or anything, but you’ll feel super awesome and all of our dev team will be cheering.

As a group of metalheads, we can’t wait to release our three selected tracks to you. With wailing guitar solos and ferocious kick drums from the likes of Bloodbound, Brothers of Metal and Firewind, these are some of the most catchy, unstoppable Pistol Whip songs.

Ready your broken sword on June 6, when Hero’s Dawn, the first of three new Voidlayer Acts, arrives on PlayStation VR2, with the second and third Acts following in the weeks that follow !
