Radiation models estimating the temperature impact of increasing CO2 to 420 ppm suggest that the 0.64°C of 1.2°C warming believed since the 19th century can be explained by the increase CO2.

One year 2013 research suggests only 0.26°C (<33%) of warming since 1880 could be attributed to a CO2 increase from 290 to 385 ppm.
