Mother Dog Sad When 7 Puppies Die In Fire. Then they showed their mother a litter of orphans
Jessica Woodruff, who has had a passion for animals since she was a child, faced a heartbreaking experience when her barn caught on fire on February 9, 2017. Unfortunately, the fire was caused by an accident. and resulted in animal damage, including four goats, one pig, and seven three-week-old puppies.

The fire spread so fast and so big that everything was over within minutes. There’s nothing Jessica or Daisy can do, and it breaks their hearts. Over the next few days, Daisy fell into a deep depression, and she would walk repeatedly to the burning barn and whine calling her puppies. Witnessing Daisy’s excruciating pain ruined Jessica. She knew she had to do something before she lost Daisy.
Jessica’s sister, Jacque Barnett, posted a Facebook post looking for orphaned puppies they could adopt. Coincidentally, Lorna Murphy’s 5-year-old dog, Chloe, passed away after giving birth to eight puppies.

The women on both sides decided to turn the tragedy into happiness for their dogs, and a meeting was quickly held so that Daisy could be introduced to the newborn puppies. Daisy’s maternal instincts immediately kicked in and she started feeding the puppies. Daisy looked after the puppies for several weeks until they were weaned. Most of the puppies were returned to their owners, with the exception of the puppy they named Benji.
We are so glad that Daisy has found some happiness after her terrible loss and that Lorna’s puppies have found a new mother after their baby passed away.
