Marco Antonio Barrera makes Big Canelo-GGG 3 . prediction
Mexican boxing legend Marco Antonio Barrera gave his prediction on who he thinks will win the fight between the trio Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin on September 17.
Barrera believes Canelo Alvarez will seek to end the book explicitly about his rivalry with Gennadiy Golovkin when they meet on September 17.
Today’s two greats go head-to-head for the third time at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, the same venue as their first two games. Above that is Canelo’s Undisputed Super Average Title but winning the showdown would mean the same for the Mexicans.
Speaking on DAZN . boxing showMexican ring legend Barrera says:
“They bring out the best in each boxer and I think it will be better than the other two.”
Barrera took his place in the boxing scene with his own trio against bitter rival and fellow Mexican Erik Morales from 2000 to 2004. Every bout was memorable, and each made it. the same distance as Alvarez and Golovkin did on both occasions.
The three-weight world champion went on to give the Canelo vs GGG trio verdict:
“They are two very close combatants. Many remained wondering who won the first and second prizes. In this third war, there will be no strategy at all.”
“There will be no doubt who will win the war.”
“Canelo Alvarez will be looking for a knockout from start to finish to be able to convince and close this trio.”
“Canelo must put an end to it.”
Barrera herself plans to return to the ring next month in a wits match with British boxing legend Ricky Hatton.
The bout is scheduled for July 2 in Manchester on the same night as Hughie Fury vs Michael Hunter. However, Fury brought the disease into his body and the heavyweight bout was postponed, putting the Hatton-Barrera show in doubt.
It has since been confirmed that two retired fan favorites will go head to head on November 12.
