The London Knights are the UK’s only competitive gay men’s basketball team.
Formed in 2000, the team was originally an offshoot of the lesbian team The London Cruisers.
But the men soon started competing internationally and have won many titles in several International Gay Games Competitions.
That’s the legacy they want to build on, by hoping to join the more mainstream London Capitals basketball league.
Members hope that one day, there will be enough LGBTQ+ teams to form a coalition of their own.
