The SEMA the show is always great. However, it can be a drawback because most vehicles you see will never be sold. Unless you want to spend a lot of time and money breaking up. But sometimes, one of those special car from the show appearing for sale in a random place. Grab this Ford Maverick from the 2022 SEMA show for sale on Facebook Market.
First discovered by Ford Agency, this Maverick is the result of a major collaboration between Saleen Performance, Toyo Tires, 3D Carbon and JBL Audio. This is Sema’s build, it’s all about the exterior.
There’s Calypso Green Paint that has white, pink, and black accents. It looks great and really looks like something from the 1990s. Up front is a custom grille with pink trim along with a large air dam and front splitter. There are also side sills and mudguards that really help emphasize the bulk of the white powder-coated 22” TSW Daytona wheels.
Around back there are dark taillights, pink trim around the “Maverick” badge, a pink spoiler and dual exhaust tips with white tips. Don’t get too excited when you see those exhaust pipes. Like the interior of this thing, the engine is completely original, which makes me wonder what Saleen Performance’s involvement is here. However, not everything is available. This Maverick rides on a custom air suspension setup with a bed-mounted compressor and is controlled via an internal unit. There’s also a unique sound system setup. There are four JBL marine speakers fitted to a bed-mounted wake tower that can be raised and lowered at the touch of a button.
If you want Maverick to have this sweet look, you’ll have to pay the price. Much. The car is currently for sale on Facebook Marketplace and on the website of Leif Johnson Ford in Austin, Texas. They are asking a cool price of $85,000 for this Maverick. While the truck looks cool, that’s a big ask for the custom paint job, big wheels, airbag suspension, and four JBL speakers. If this were done more with the original interior and the original 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine, it would maybe become a little more attractive.
